'Blades sign Coalter to contract

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush, along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Brandon Coalter has been signed to a contract.

Coalter returns to the ice at Germain Arena after stepping away from the game following the 2005-06 season. The 29-year-old last played in the ECHL with the Everblades in '05-'06, and posted 13 points (5g, 8a) and 81 penalty minutes in 45 games. During his first three seasons with the Everblades, Coalter totaled 38 points (13g, 25a) and 357 PIM in 151 games. His 357 PIM ranks second in All-Time Everblades history.

Prior to turning pro in 2003-04, Coalter spent four years playing at the University of PEI, where he collected 53 points (19g, 34a) and 259 PIM in 96 games. Before turning to the college ranks, Coalter played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Oshawa Generals (1995-99) scoring 63 points and picking up 376 PIM in 219 career games.
