This is Watkins first Major League call-up. The Cubs drafted Lockhart in the 10th round of the 2011 draft. He is the son of former Major League infielder, and current Cubs' area scout, Keith Lockhart.
The Cubs play game two of a four-game series at Tacoma this afternoon at 3:30 Central time. RH Jake Arrieta (1-2, 4.03) will start for the Cubs against RH Taijuan Walker (2-1, 3.09) for the Rainiers.
