CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Checkers went 3-1-0 last week at they faced Pensacola, Augusta and Gwinnett on the road and Trenton at home on Friday night. Bruce Graham and Mark Lee led the team in scoring for the week. Bruce Graham had one assist Tuesday against Pensacola and a hat trick Friday night against Trenton totaling four points for the week. Mark Lee also had two goals and four assists for the week, three of which were for Graham's hat trick, totaling six points for the week. The Checkers only game this week is Thursday night at home against the Reading Royals.

Tuesday, December 12, 2006 @ Pensacola, W, 5-2 The Charlotte Checkers wanted to close out their season-long, five-game in nine-day road trip with a win, and one of their rookies helped them to do it. Dan Murphy scored two goals and added two assists for a four- point game, and veteran Alex Westlund made 36 saves as Charlotte defeated Pensacola 5-2 Tuesday night in Florida.

Friday, December 15, 2006 vs. Trenton, W, 5-2 Bruce Graham, with a hat trick for the evening, led the Checkers to a 5-2 victory over the Trenton Titans Friday night in front of 5852 fans at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Mark Lee also had all three assists for Graham's three goals.

Saturday, December 16, 2006 @ Augusta, W, 5-2 The Charlotte Checker were sluggish for almost the entire game, but managed to come away with an 5-3 win Saturday night in Georgia against the Augusta Lynx. Blake Bellefeuille had a pair of goals for the Checkers and goalie Chris Holt made numerous spectacular saves to notch the victory. Charlotte also received single goals from Daymen Rycroft, Mark Lee and Zdenek Bahensky. The Checkers could only muster three shots on goal in the final period, but two of the three shots were goals

Sunday, December 17, 2006, @ Gwinnett, L, 2-1 The Charlotte Checkers saw their four-game winning streak come to a close in a 2-1 defeat Sunday afternoon to the Gwinnett Gladiators in Duluth, Georgia. Gwinnett defenseman John Awe scored both Gladiators' goals, with the tallies coming on the power play
