Omaha Storm Chasers News Release


On Wednesday, July 9th, children from both the Salvation Army North Corps and The Hope Center for Kids who have participated in the Chasers FUNdamentals youth baseball clinics will be able to attend the Omaha Storm Chasers game through C.A.R.E (Chasers Actively Reaching Everyone) program. These tickets have been donated by season ticketholders who do not use all of their game tickets. Thanks to these donated tickets, all the children will get to experience a professional baseball game at Werner Park, most of them for the first time.

Community Involvement Outside of the Game

- Ralston Independence Day Parade - OSC staff members and Casey will be attending the 54th Annual Ralston Independence Day Parade on July 4th starting at 1:00 pm at 80th and Highland streets and end at 75th and Main streets. For more information visit http://cityofralston.com/

- Papio Pool - Sizzle will be joining the summer fun and attending the Papio Pool on the 4th of July from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm. For more information visit http://www.papiopool.com/

- Southwest YMCA Day Camp - Y Games - On Thursday, July 10th from 10:00 am - 12:00 am Storm Chasers representatives and Kernel Kobb will be participating in Southwest YMCA Day Camp's "Y Games". For more information visit http://southwest.metroymca.org/

- Fremont Historical Parade - The Storm Chasers truck, staff, and mascots will be parading the streets of Fremont for 28th Annual John C. Fremont Historical Parade on Sunday, July 13th beginning at 1:30 pm. The parade will begin at 1st and Main Street. - Challenger Little League Closing Ceremonies - Mascots and OSC staff will be at the Keystone Little League fields on Sunday, July 13th from 10:00 am- 11:00 am for the Challenger Little League Closing Ceremonies where athletes will receive their medals and pictures. - Reading to Kids - Stormy and OSC staff will be visiting and reading to the kids at 7609 S. 89th Street in La Vista from 12:45 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, July 14th for their summer reading program!

- Chasers FUNdamentals - Members of the OSC staff along with varsity baseball players from Omaha North High School will put on the final program date of the 2014 FUNdamentals programs. All the skills will come together as kids from the Salvation Army North Corps and Hope Center for Kids play in baseball games.
