Salt Lake Falls in Road Trip Finale

Las Vegas scored five runs in the seventh inning, as the 51s came from behind for a 9-8 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Thursday night. Salt Lake led 7-4 when Dane De La Rosa issued back to back walks to open the inning. Brandon Sisk (0-1) came on and gave up an infield single to load the bases. Matt den Dekker singled to center to bring home the first run. Jeremy Berg entered and walked Mark Reynolds to force in a run. One out later, Las Vegas tied the game on a sacrifice fly by Andrew Brown. Reynolds stole second and on the throw, den Dekker broke from third and stole home to give the 51s the lead. Josh Satin capped off the inning with an RBI double.

The Bees loaded the bases with two out in the eighth, but Brennan Boesch flied out to end the inning. In the ninth, Ian Stewart brought Salt Lake back to within one with a leadoff homer. The Bees would load the bases on a single, walk and an error, but Luis Jimenez popped out to end the game. Efren Navarro led the Bees with four hits and two runs batted in, while Tommy Field added three hits and two runs scored. Stewart had two hits and two RBI, while Jimenez and Boesch chipped in with two hits and one RBI, as Salt Lake goes 3-5 on their road trip.
