
Centomo Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers announced Tuesday that Sebastien Centomo has been named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for the week of January 3-9. Defensemen Ryan Gaucher has signed a contract with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL and center Patrick Nilson has been re-assigned by Lowell to the Louisiana Ice Gators.
Centomo went 2-0-0 with a shutout, a 1.50 goals-against average and a save percentage of .951 as Las Vegas went 3-0-0. Centomo earned his second shutout of the season on January 7, stopping all 29 shots he faced in a 3-0 win against the Peoria Rivermen. The very next night Centomo again led the Wranglers to a second straight victory over the Rivermen, this time making 29 saves for the 4-3 victory and the fifth straight win for Las Vegas.
In 29 games played this season with Las Vegas Ryan Gaucher has totaled six goals and 15 assists for 21 points and a +4 rating. Gaucher is currently tied for sixth in the ECHL among scoring defensemen. Gaucher is also tied for the ECHL lead among defensemen with 13 points on the power play. The defensemen will be making his fourth trip to the AHL, his first to the Manitoba Moose. Gaucher enjoyed AHL career highs during the 2001-02 season with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks playing in 50 games and tallying three goals and 12 assists for 15 points.
Wranglers center Patrick Nilson was recalled by the Lowell Lock Monsters of the AHL. Lowell then re-assigned Nilson to the Louisiana Ice Gators of the ECHL. Nilson has amassed three goals and six assists for nine points in 30 games with Las Vegas this season.
Thursday, January 13th the San Diego Gulls make a return to the Orleans Arena to face the Wranglers at 7:05 pm. "Reggy" the mascot will join "The Duke" on Friday, January 14th as the Wranglers face the Victoria Salmon Kings at 7:05 pm.
