SALT LAKE CITY - The River Cats held two different leads and were tied as late as the seventh inning Wednesday night, but fell to the Salt Lake Bees at Spring Mobile Ballpark, 11-7.

Sacramento jumped ahead early, plating two runs in the top of the first before Salt Lake recorded an out. Jemile Weeks led off the game with a triple, followed by a two-run homer off the bat of Grant Green. But Salt Lake answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame, setting the tone for a see-saw battle that would eventually go the Bees' way.

Trailing 6-4 in the seventh, the River Cats would plate two more runs on a Salt Lake error and a Daric Barton double-his first of two in the game-to tie the score at six. Salt Lake answered with four runs in the bottom of the seventh, putting the game out of reach and winning for the fourth-straight time against Sacramento after the River Cats won the first six meetings between the two clubs this season.

Cats starter Justin Thomas allowed three runs in five innings, but did not figure in the decision. The loss fell to reliever Hideki Okajima (0-2) after he gave up four earned runs in one-plus innings of work.

Ryan Brasier (2-2) picked up the win in relief of Bees starter Jarrett Grube, who gave up four earned runs in five frames.

In addition to Green's homer, Scott Moore hit his ninth long ball of the season, a solo shot in the fifth. Six different River Cats hitters combined for eight extra-base hits in the game, but Sacramento lost their third-straight game, tying a season-long losing streak.

Sacramento and Salt Lake face off again Thursday night, with Cats RHP Travis Banwart (4-2, 4.18 ERA) set to pitch against Bees RHP Barry Enright (2-3, 7.85 ERA). First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. PT from Spring Mobile Ballpark.

The River Cats return home for an 11-game homestand beginning Saturday, June 22, at Raley Field against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. The homestand will feature four fireworks shows, culminating with the annual July 3rd fireworks extravaganza, the biggest show of the season.
