
RHP Ben Rowen Promoted From Double-A Frisco

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express announced today the addition of RHP Ben Rowen to their roster from Double-A Frisco RoughRiders.
In 31 games with the RoughRiders this season, Rowen is 3-0 with a 0.53 ERA (33.2ip/2er). He's converted 10 of 10 save opportunities and allowed just 11 walks while striking out 28. In the 7.1 innings he's worked in the month of June, the 24-year-old has yet to give up a run, stranding six baserunners.
Rowen was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 22nd round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft. He pitched collegiately at Virginia Tech after transferring from Los Angeles Harbor College, going 5-2 with a 2.67 ERA (54.0ip/16er) with six saves his senior year.
With this move, the Express' roster sits at 25 active players, the Pacific Coast League limit.
