(EASTLAKE, OH) - The Midwest League and the Lake County Captains, the 2010 Midwest League Champions and class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, have announced that Captains pitcher MIKE RAYL has been named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 20-26.
Rayl, 22 from Lake Worth, FL, had one start and threw six scoreless innings allowing only one hit and striking out eight batters. Rayl currently is 5-2 with a 1.71 ERA on the season. In 11 of his 12 starts, Rayl has allowed two earned runs or less and has allowed a run or less in nine of those games.
