Canucks Trade Perrault to Anaheim & Acquire Macgregor Sharp

Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today that the Canucks have acquired centres Maxim Lapierre and MacGregor Sharp from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for centre Joel Perrault and a 2012 3rd round draft pick.

Perrault, has played in 26 games with the Moose so far this season and has scored 18 points (3g, 15a) along with 33 penalty minutes. The Montreal, PQ native has missed the past 26 games with a lower body injury. Perrault has also appeared in seven games so far this season with Vancouver. The Montreal, PQ native has played in 96 career NHL games with Phoenix, St. Louis, and Vancouver where he has 26 points (12g, 14a) and 68 penalty minutes. In 312 career AHL games with San Antonio, Peoria, and Manitoba, Perrault has 225 points (97g, 128a) and 247 penalty minutes. Perrault was originally drafted by Anaheim in the fifth round, 137th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Sharp, 25, has appeared in 50 games this season with the Anaheim Ducks AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. The Red Deer, AB native has recorded 13 points (6g, 7a) and 26 penalty minutes with the Crunch. Sharp has appeared in 96 career AHL games with Syracuse, San Antonio, and Iowa. The 6'1", 180-pound centre has played in eight NHL games with the Anaheim Ducks.
