'Canes Reassign Brown to Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forward Patrick Brown to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Brown, 26, has skated in 46 games with the Checkers this season, tallying 18 points (10g, 8a). The 5'11", 214-pound forward has registered 108 points (44g, 64a) in 310 career AHL games, and has served as Charlotte's captain for the last three seasons. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native signed with Carolina as an undrafted free agent on April 12, 2014, and has posted two points (1g, 1a) in 28 career NHL games with the Hurricanes.
