Canadiens recall Cote

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the team has recalled defenseman Jean-Philippe Cote from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Cote, 23, has played in 32 games with the Bulldogs this season, posting four points (one goal, three assists) and 63 penalty minutes. He scored his first goal of the season and was named the game's third star on Sunday, January 15 when the Bulldogs defeated the Rochester Americans by a score of 3-1. The native of Quebec City, Quebec, has played in three games for the Canadiens this season, going scoreless while collecting four penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs next action will take place on Friday, January 20, when they face the Manitoba Moose in the first of back-to-back games at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg. Game time is 8:30 p.m. This game can be seen live on Rogers Sportsnet.

Hamilton's next home game will take place on Sunday, January 22, when the Toronto Maple Leafs AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, visit Copps Coliseum. Game time is 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available at Copps Coliseum Box Office (in-person sales only), any Ticketmaster outlet, online at ticketmaster.ca, and at select Sports Obsession locations.
