Cranbrook, BC - The Kootenay ICE scored the first five goals en route to a 5-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday afternoon at Western Financial Place.

Calgary outshot the ICE 25-21 with Duncan McGovern making 24 saves to move Kootenay six points ahead of the Hitmen for a Central Division playoff spot.
Calgary returns home to host Kootenay in the rematch tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 17. The goal line to far blue line sprint will feature more than 20 dogs including Woutie, the furry friend of Canadian country music star Paul Brandt.
