Calgary Flames Acquire Fourth Round Draft Pick

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the acquisition of the Columbus Blue Jackets' 4th round draft choice in 2009 in exchange for goaltender Kevin Lalande.

The 6'0, 175lb netminder has appeared in six games this season with the Quad City Flames (AHL) going 4-1-1. Lalande was originally drafted by the Flames in the 5th round (128 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

In other transaction news, the Quad City Flames have signed Bloomington PrairieThunder goaltender Ryan Ludzik to a Professional Try-Out Agreement. He will join the team tonight in Peoria.

The Quad City Flames visit Peoria on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. start. The game can be heard on 93.9 FM WYEC beginning at 6:35 p.m. with The Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show. Fans can also watch the game for just $6.00 at ahllive.com.

On Saturday, the Flames host Faith Night vs. the Iowa Chops. Groups that would like to take advantage of the Faith Night discount should call the Flames Ticket Office at (309) 764-7825. After the game, The Furnace Midwest Band will perform. A portion of the proceeds from Saturday's ticket sales will benefit WINNIE'S Place, a women's shelter in the Quad Cities.
