AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:
Worcester Sharks defenseman Brad Staubitz has been suspended for five (5) games under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) as a result of his blow to the back of the head of an opponent in a game vs. Springfield on Feb. 28. Staubitz will miss Worcester's games tonight (Mar. 4) at Hartford, Friday (Mar. 6) vs. Philadelphia, Saturday (Mar. 7) vs. Albany, Sunday (Mar. 8) vs. Manchester and Mar. 11 vs. Binghamton.
Lowell Devils defenseman Mark Fraser has been suspended for three (3) games as a result of his actions in a game at Portland on Mar. 1. Fraser was assessed a game misconduct under AHL Rule 41.4 for physical abuse of an official. Fraser will miss Lowell's games on Friday (Mar. 6) and Saturday (Mar. 7) at Norfolk and Tuesday (Mar. 10) vs. Bridgeport.
Hamilton Bulldogs left wing Ryan Flinn has been suspended for two (2) games under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) as a result of his actions in a game vs. Toronto on Feb. 28. Flinn will miss Hamilton's games on Friday (Mar. 6) vs. Toronto and Saturday (Mar. 7) vs. Syracuse.
Toronto Marlies center Andre Deveaux has been suspended for two (2) games under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) as a result of his actions in a game at Lake Erie on Feb. 27. Deveaux will miss Toronto's games tonight (Mar. 4) vs. Providence and on Friday (Mar. 6) at Hamilton.
Lowell Devils left wing Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond has been suspended for one (1) game under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) as a result of his actions in a game at Portland on Mar. 1. Letourneau-Leblond will miss Lowell's game on Friday (Mar. 6) at Norfolk.
