Columbus Acquires Goaltender Kevin Lalande from Calgary and Assigns him to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (March 4, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired goaltender Kevin Lalande from Calgary in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In addition, Lalande has been assigned by Columbus to the Crunch.

Lalande, 22, has appeared in six games for Quad City this season, going 4-1-1 with a 1.94 goals against average and .929 save percentage. He has also skated in 21 games with Las Vegas (ECHL) this year, compiling a 9-8-2 record with a 2.39 goals against average and .925 save percentage.

A native of Kingston, Ontario, Lalande was drafted by Calgary in the fifth round, 128th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
