Calgary Assigns Hugo Carpentier To Utah

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that forward Hugo Carpentier has been assigned to the Grizzlies by the Calgary Flames.

Carpentier joins Utah after playing in 21 games this year with the Flames AHL affiliate in Abbotsford, tallying six assists and 25 penalty minutes. Last year, he played in 45 games with the Flames ECHL affiliate in Las Vegas and added nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points along with 33 penalty minutes. He also played 17 games with Calgary's AHL affiliate in Quad City in 2008-2009 and had two goals and two assists.

Carpentier, 21, and a fourth-round selection of Calgary in 2006 will be with the Grizzlies tonight when they host Idaho at the E-Center for Angel's Hands Night presented by Utah Central Credit Union. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
