
C P.J. Pilittere Placed on Disabled List

(Manchester, NH)- The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that C P.J Pilittere has been placed on the Disabled List. C Eladio Rodriguez has been transferred from Tampa to Trenton. RHP Bo Hall has been activated from the Disabled List, and traded to the Houston Astros Organization.
Pilittere suffered a facial injury in Wednesday night's game at New Hampshire. He has a .283 BA in 74 G for the Thunder this season, with one home run and 34 RBI. Pilittere was selected to the 2008 Eastern League All-Star Game. Last season, he hit .261 BA with two home runs and 34 RBI for Trenton. Pilittere was originally selected by the Yankees in the 13th round of the 2004 draft. He played in the College World Series during his senior season at Cal State Fullerton.
Rodriguez has split the season between Tampa and Trenton. He has a .231 BA in four games with the Thunder this season. He has three doubles and two RBI. Rodriguez has hit .095 in seven games for Tampa. He was signed as a free agent by the Yankees on 10/24/07. Rodriguez batted .461 with 16 HR and 44 RBI in 34 games for the Modi'in Miracle of the Israel Baseball League, winning the Hank Greenberg Award as the IBL's co-Most Valuable Player.
Hall will report to Double-A Corpus Christi in Houston's Organization. He was 2-2 with a 2.93 ERA in 21 G for the Thunder with two saves. He has struck out 26 and walked 10 in 30.2 IP. Hall has spent some time this season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Triple-A). He is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three games for the Yankees. Hall was selected from Milwaukee in the Rule 5 Draft (Triple-A Phase) on 12/6/07. He went 5-2 with a 3.46 ERA and one save in 34 G for Huntsville (Double-A) last season.
Trenton plays the final game of a four-game series this afternoon against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. Game time is set for 11:30 am. The Thunder return home on Friday night to start a three-game series at Waterfront Park against the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
