Durham Bulls News Release

DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls and Buffalo Bisons played a wild 10-inning affair, with the Bulls emerging as winners by a final score of 5-4 Saturday night at the DBAP in front of a paid attendance of 10,381. Hoby Milner (3-3) picked up the win for the Bulls, while Jason Adam (0-2) suffered the loss for the Bisons.

Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the 10th inning, Dalton Kelly tripled with one out to drive in Dashenko Ricardo and tie the game for Durham. After a pair of walks loaded the bases, Jason Coats drove a sacrifice fly to deep center field, scoring Kelly and propelling Mal de Ojo de Durham to its second straight win during Latino Heritage Weekend.

In what was the start of a back and forth game, the Bisons jumped on the board in the second inning, thanks to a Michael De La Cruz sacrifice fly to make it 1-0. Bulls starter Jose De Leon navigated out of the bases loaded situation that inning, giving the Bulls a chance to tie the game in the third inning, with an RBI double by Kelly to make it 1-1.

Coats put the Bulls in front with an RBI sacrifice fly in the fourth inning, but the Bisons responded quickly with a two-run home run by Patrick Kivlehan to make it 3-2. The Bulls got a much-needed boost from the rehabbing Daniel Robertson, who hit a solo home run off the Snorting Bull to tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth.

The game ultimately went to extra innings, where the Bisons jumped ahead in the 10th inning on an RBI single by Kivlehan to take a 4-3 lead. That set the stage for Durham's walk-off victory and second straight win.

The Bulls and Bisons will meet for the final time this series on Sunday evening at 5:05 at the DBAP. Right-hander Sam McWilliams is scheduled to take the mound for the Bulls and face off against Bisons right-hander Sean Reid-Foley.
