Bullies Acquire Riddell From Augusta

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced the acquisition of center Riley Riddell from Augusta in exchange for cash considerations. Riddell is expected to make his Bullies debut tonight at Wheeling.

Riddell, 23, is in his rookie season following a three-year standout collegiate career at Division I Bemidji State University. The Camrose, Alberta native signed with Idaho on December 29 and tallied five goals and eight points, including his first professional hat-trick on January 5, in 23 games with the Steelheads. Riddell was released by Idaho on Friday and claimed off of waivers by Augusta.

In three years at Bemidji State, Riddell compiled totals of 35 goals and 88 assists in 107 career games. He was named the 2002 College Hockey America (CHA) Conference's Rookie of the Year after finishing second in the country in rookie scoring with 14 goals and 32 points in 35 games.

The Bullies travel to Wheeling to battle the first place Nailers at 7:30PM Saturday. Listen live on ESPN Radio 1450AM and the SurferNetwork beginning with "Bullies Countdown" at 7:10PM.

Atlantic City returns to Historic Boardwalk Hall at 2:05PM on Sunday as they conclude their two-game series with the Dayton Bombers. Every Sunday home game is "Kids Day". All kids 12-and-under get in for just $1 with the purchase of a $15 Adult Premier Ticket.
