Bulldogs Visit 67's for Ugly Christmas Sweater Game

December 11, 2021 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release

While those around Lansdowne will be feeling the holiday spirit this weekend, the Ottawa 67's are focused on closing out their weekend with another win, with the Hamilton Bulldogs in town for a 2:00pm EST puck drop. 67's fans can watch live on Rogers TV, and Kenny Walls has the online radio call on TSN1200.ca.

Today is Ottawa's Ugly Christmas Sweater Game, Presented by The Brick, and the 67's will be joining in by wearing special ugly Christmas sweater-themed jerseys. The OSEG Foundation, and The Brick are also partnering with the 67's in support of Toy Mountain, so fans are encouraged to bring in a new, unwrapped toy for children aged 0-12 to be donated, and help ensure that every child in our community has a gift to open on Christmas morning.

The 67's were in action last night, losing 5-1 to the Oshawa Generals on home ice. Alec Belanger scored his first goal of the season, with Will Cranley turning aside at least 30 shots for the fourth game in a row.

Hamilton was in Kingston last night, and erased a 5-2 deficit to tie the game, before a late goal gave the Frontenacs a 6-5 win. Avery Hayes, Logan Morrison, Jan Mysak, and Jorian Donovan (two) had the Bulldogs' markers, while Marco Costantini and Matteo Drobac combined for 31 saves.

This is the second meeting of the year between Ottawa and Hamilton. The 67's rode a two-goal performance from Vsevolod Gaidamak, combined with Luca Pinelli's first OHL goal, and insurance markers from Dylan Robinson, Brenden Sirizzotti, and Brady Stonehouse to a 6-3 win, on November 13.
