
Bulldogs finish four-game road trip in Milwaukee Tuesday

The Hamilton Bulldogs will finish their four-game road trip on Tuesday, March 9th (8:00 p.m.) as they will travel to Milwaukee to face the Admirals at the Bradley Center. Hamilton has earned two wins and one loss in their first three games on the trip.
The Bulldogs will return to home ice on Thursday, March 11th (7:00 p.m.) when they will host former Bulldogs forward Brian Swanson and the Chicago Wolves. Hamilton will finish the weekend by taking on their cross-border rivals, the Rochester Americans, at Copps Coliseum on Saturday, March 13th (7:00 p.m.)
The Bulldogs continue to lead the AHL's North Division with 79 points on a record of 33 wins, 19 losses, 9 ties and 4 overtime losses.

BULLDOGS TEAM NOTES:
The Bulldogs recorded the franchise's 500th power play goal of all-time, when Eero Somervuori scored Hamilton's fourth goal in Saturday's 5-3 win in Chicago ... over 5,000 fans have attended the Bulldogs last nine home games, respectively ... Hamilton remains the AHL's third least penalized team, averaging just 15.95 penalty minutes per game ... after Thursday's game versus Chicago, 12 of the Bulldogs 13 remaining games will be against North Division opponents ... Hamilton power play is rated 15th in the AHL (15.3%, 47 for 308) ... on the penalty kill the Bulldogs are 9th in the AHL (86.9%, 265 for 305) ... the Bulldogs magic point total to clinch a playoff position in the North Division is 18 points

MARCEL HOSSA - has scored 11 goals in the past 15 games, had a four-game goal scoring streak (Feb. 28-Mar. 6, 5 goals)

JEAN-FRANCOIS DAMPHOUSSSE - recorded three straight wins (Mar. 3 - Mar. 6) after missing the past 21 games with a broken thum
JEAN-PHILIPPE COTE - is tied for second in AHL plus / minus with a (+19) rating
BENOIT GRATTON - is just one point shy of 400 career AHL points (116-283-399)
BULLDOGS & FORTINOS SUPPORT TRAVIS' BATTLE:
The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced that all eleven Hamilton/Burlington FORTINOS locations will be supporting Travis' Battle, by offering $10 upper bowl tickets for the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey" game, which will take place on Friday, March 26th at 7:00 p.m. when the Bulldogs host the St. John's Maple Leafs at Copps Coliseum. Proceeds from the upper bowl tickets will go towards Travis' Battle, a charitable fund set up to support Travis Carter, a six-year-old Ancaster boy who suffers from Battens Disease. Travis has been one of ten children chosen to receive experimental surgery.
FANS TO VOTE "HEROES OF HOMETOWN HOCKEY ALL-TIME TEAM" AT 'PIZZA PIZZA':
Hamilton hockey fans have the opportunity to vote for the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey All-Time Team" at Hamilton area "Pizza Pizza" locations. All players and coaches on the ballot are from the Hamilton area or have made significant contributions to Hamilton hockey. Fans can make their vote for the top three forwards, two defenceman, one goaltender and one coach at any of the eleven Hamilton 'Pizza Pizza' locations. The ballots will be collected on Tuesday, March 16th and the individuals on the ballots with the most votes will be named to the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey All-Time Team", which will be announced at the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey" game on Friday, March 26th at 7:00 p.m. when the Bulldogs host the St. John's Maple Leafs at Copps Coliseum.

Wolves forward and Bulldogs' All-time leading scorer Brian Swanson has tallied 40 points (13-27-40) in 54 games for Chicago ... Swanson earned 179 points (71-108-179) in 183 career games (1999-02) with the Bulldogs ... the Wolves currently have a record of 32-21-8-3, giving them 75 points and third place in the West Division ... Rochester Americans at Hamilton Bulldogs - Saturday, March 13 - 7:00 p.m.
Hamilton had earned five wins and three losses against their cross-border rivals, the Amerks this season ... Tomas Plekanec (3-3-6) and Chris Higgins (1-5-6) have each recorded six points against Rochester, respectively ... the Amerks have the AHL's #1 power play operating at 17.9% (55 for 308) ... Rochester's Jason Pominville has recorded and AHL best 18 power play goals this season ... the Amerks have 66 points on the season and are tied with Toronto for the fourth place position in the North Division ...
