Bulldogs Bitten by Wolves 2-1

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated by the Chicago Wolves 2-1 on Saturday at Copps Coliseum. Max Pacioretty scored his team-leading 14th goal in the third period but the 'Dogs could not get another puck past Peter Mannino as Hamilton dropped its second game in a row. Following Pacioretty's goal over 2,000 stuffed toys were thrown to the ice for the Bulldogs annual 'Toy Toss Night'.

The Wolves took a 1-0 lead at 3:26 of the second stanza with a power-play goal. Frederik Pettersson fired a shot on net that bounced off the post and out to Jason Krog. Krog proceeded to flip the puck over Hamilton starting goaltender Curtis Sanford. Chicago increased its lead to 2-0 at 18:26. Spencer Machacek received the puck from Mike Siklenka before sending a shot towards the net. The puck deflected off the skate of Jared Ross and past Sanford.

The Bulldogs scored their first goal of the game at 3:06 of the final frame. Max Pacioretty collected the puck before circling around the left side of the net and firing a backhand shot towards the net. The puck slid underneath the pads of Chicago starting goaltender Peter Mannino.

The Bulldogs will return to the ice on Wednesday, December 8th when they travel to Rochester for a 7:05 p.m. game. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
