Houston Aeros News Release

HOUSTON --- The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced details for the annual Teddy Bear Toss, which will take place Friday, Dec. 10, when the Aeros host the San Antonio Rampage at Toyota Center. The puck will drop at 7:35 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to toss onto the ice when the Aeros score their first goal of the night. All stuffed animals will be donated to KHOU Channel 11's Spirit of Texas Toy Drive, which collaborates with the Salvation Army to provide gifts for children this holiday season.

Each fan who donates an item will receive two tickets to the Aeros game on New Year's Day against San Antonio. Fans can register the stuffed animals at the Aeros Customer Service table located behind Section 107 to receive their tickets (limit of 10 per person). Stuffed animals may be wrapped in clear plastic wrap to help keep them clean as they land on the playing surface.

"This has always been one of our most popular events and we're excited to assist the KHOU Spirit of Texas Toy Drive and the Salvation Army," said Jamie Spencer, Aeros Executive Vice President of Business Operations. "Last year's Teddy Bear Toss drew a record number of donations and we're confident our fans will respond to make it even bigger this season."

The Aeros travel to Oklahoma City for a game Tuesday against the Barons. Call 713-974-7825 713-974-7825 for more information on Aeros tickets and other promotions.
