Anaheim Ducks Reassign Defenseman John de Gray

Syracuse, NY (December 4, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have reassigned defenseman John de Gray from Elmira (ECHL) to Syracuse.

de Gray, 22, has appeared in 20 games with Elmira this season, compiling eight points (2g, 6a) and 28 penalty minutes. de Gray skated in 41 AHL contests with Rochester last year, recording six points (1g, 5a) and 31 penalty minutes.

A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, de Gray has appeared in a combined 109 AHL games with Portland, Iowa and Rochester since 2007-08, registering 13 points (3g, 10a) and 98 penalty minutes. He was selected by Anaheim in the third round, 83rd overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch continue their four-game road trip by heading to Charlotte on Sunday, December 5 for a 3 p.m. game against the Checkers. All the action can be heard starting at 2:45 p.m. on 105.9 FM 'The Big Talker.' The game will switch to the Crunch's flagship station, The Score 1260, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Syracuse returns home to The Oncenter War Memorial Arena on Friday, December 10 vs. Adirondack at 7:30 p.m.
