HAMILTON, Ontario---The Chicago Wolves lit the lamp twice in the second period and never let go of the lead, grabbing a 2-1 win against the Hamilton Bulldogs at Copps Coliseum Saturday night.

Centers Jason Krog and Jared Ross potted the markers for Chicago while goaltender Peter Mannino thwarted 33 of 34 shots.

Chicago (12-13-1-0) opened scoring with a power-play marker 3:26 into the second period. Krog shot the puck from the slot, which hit off the post allowing the forward to drive home his own rebound past Hamilton goaltender Curtis Sanford, top shelf.

The Wolves doubled their lead, 2-0, with less than two minutes left in the middle frame when Machacek's shot bounced off the body of Ross at the doorstep and into the net past Sanford.

Sanford (8-3-0) posted 26 saves for the Bulldogs.

Hamilton (14-6-1-3) made it a one-goal game, 2-1, when left wing Max Pacioretty snuck the puck into the far side of the net past Mannino 3:06 into the third period.

The Wolves wrap up a three-games-in-three-days road swing with a matchup against the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum on Sun., Dec. 5 at 2 p.m.
