
Bruins to be on COX Sports Friday

The Providence Bruins return to action at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence on Friday, January 21 at 7:05 p.m., when they host an Atlantic Division matchup with the Portland Pirates. Friday's game will be the first of six "McDonald's Family 4-Pack" nights this season, with fans receiving coupons for four free McDonald's Extra Value Meals with the purchase of four game tickets. Additional tickets may be ordered for only $12 each, and will also included a coupon for a free McDonald's Extra Value Meal. Please note that McDonald's Family 4-Packs are not available on game nights or at the Dunkin' Donuts Center box office. McDonald's Family 4-Packs can be purchased by calling the Bruins at (401) 273-5000, or by logging on to www.providencebruins.com.
Friday's game will be televised live on COX Sports Television. Long-time Boston Bruins play-by-play announcer Dave Shea and legendary game analyst Bob Norton will call the game. The game on Friday will be the third of six to be televised this season by COX Sports Television.
The Bruins also visit the Springfield Falcons on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. before returning home to host the Pirates again on Sunday, January 23 at 4:05 p.m.
Bruin left wing Dan LaCouture has been on a torrid pace as of late, posting 6-1-7 totals in his last seven games. The stretch started with his first career hat trick in a 5-3 loss at Manchester on January 1, and has seen him nearly double his overall season output. The 6'2", 210-pound native of Hyannis, Massachusetts has 9-7-16 totals and a +11 rating in 28 games. LaCouture, 27, was originally signed by Providence to a professional tryout agreement on November 2, and then signed to an AHL contract for the remainder of the season on December 30. He has 64-48-112 totals and 219 PIM in 247 career AHL games with the Bruins and Hamilton Bulldogs, and 16-24-40 totals and 278 PIM in 265 career NHL games with the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh and Edmonton.
Providence Bruins players will be out in the community this week, and will host their second "Tip-A-Bruin" night of the season on Wednesday, January 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dave & Buster's in the Providence Place Mall. Bruin players Kevin Dallman, Keith Aucoin and Darrel Scoville will sell raffle tickets for autographed Bruins items, as well as discounted to tickets to upcoming Providence Bruins home games. All proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Rhode Island.
On Thursday, January 20, the Bruins will visit Shaw's Supermarkets at 585 Taunton Ave. in East Providence from 2:00 p.m. â 4:00 p.m. Bruin players Jay Henderson, Chris Dyment and David Gove will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures.
The Providence Bruins are proud to continue offering their FlexTix Special. Fans purchasing a book of 10 FlexTix will also receive a free Providence Bruins hat. Providence Bruins game-worn jerseys are also currently available to fans, and can be purchased online at www.providencebruins.com.
