Brown Earns Call-Up to AHL Hartford

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced forward Tyler Brown has been loaned to Hartford. In addition, defenseman Devon Krogh has been activated from the injured reserve, while goaltender Garrett Bartus has been released.

Brown, 24, departs Greenville with four goals in his last two games, including his first professional hat trick which was scored last Saturday against Florida. Overall, the Wasaga Beach, Ontario native earned 18 points in 33 games with the Road Warriors this season, including a team-best 12 goals. He also notched six assists and was fifth on the club with a +10 rating.

A fourth-year pro, Brown spent the first three seasons of his career with the Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League. In 182 games, he recorded 32 points (14g, 18a) and 72 penalty minutes. The 6'2, 184-pound forward also played four seasons of junior hockey with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League from 2007-2011. Brown notched 123 points (48g, 75a), 103 penalty minutes and a +19 rating in 220 regular-season contests.

Krogh, 24, saw action in three Road Warriors' contests earlier this season before he was placed on the injured reserve on Nov. 27th. He notched his first point with Greenville (assist) on Oct. 25th at Gwinnett.

A 6'1, 188-pound defenseman, Krogh split his rookie campaign last season with Gwinnett and Cincinnati. In 50 combined games, he notched 11 points (2g, 9a) and 39 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, the West Vancouver, British Columbia native spent four seasons at Ohio State University (CCHA), where he produced 41 points (8g, 33a) in 129 games. In 2009-10, he was voted the George Burke Most Valuable Freshman by his teammates.

Bartus, 25, made one appearance for the Road Warriors this season and earned a 29-save shootout victory against Elmira on Sunday. His release comes as a result of Jason Missiaen's reassignment from Hartford on Monday.

The Road Warriors begin another three-game weekend series on Friday when they welcome the Fort Wayne Komets to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena at 7:00 p.m. for the first time this season.
