
Americans Open Three in a Row against the Mavericks Starting Tonight

Independence, Missouri - The Allen Americans open up the first of three straight against the Missouri Mavericks, starting tonight in Missouri. Puck drop at the Independence Events Center is 7:05 pm.
The Allen Americans are 3-0 against the Missouri Mavericks this season, including a 6-0 shutout in Independence on November 26th. The Americans have outscored the Mavericks 15-3 in three games. Allen is 2-0 on the road in the season series. The Americans won the last meeting 6-2 on December 7th at Allen Event Center.
Chad Costello was named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month on Monday. Costello had 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points in the month. He was also named the ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for December, finishing at a +14. The Americans have won this award two straight months, as Tyler Ludwig was the recipient in November.
Jack Combs leads the ECHL in points with 52 and in goals with 21. Combs, along with Gary Steffes and Chad Costello, each have six points against Missouri in three games this season. The Americans have won three straight games overall and lead the ECHL Central with a record of 22-5-1-2.
