Peoria Rivermen News Release

Peoria, Ill. (December 8, 2006) - Peoria Rivermen President/CEO Bart Rogers announced today that the team's audio broadcast, both on WIRL 1290 AM and the b2 Networks, will be a simulcast of the Manitoba Moose broadcast on CJOB with Brian Munz.

Due to travel constraints, Norm Ulrich, the longtime voice of the Rivermen, did not make the trip. Ulrich, who has called more than 1,300 professional hockey games for the Rivermen and the now-defunct San Diego Gulls, is set to retire at the end of the 2006-07 season.

The Rivermen travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Friday, December 8 to face off against the Moose in a two-game set at the MTS Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, December 10, the teams will battle at 2:00 p.m.
