Penguins jersey card giveaway featured in Beckett Hockey

WILKES-BARRE, PA - Beckett Hockey, the most relied upon source for information on hockey collectibles, is featuring the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 2006-07 multi-night game-used jersey card giveaways in the December 2006 edition, on sale at newsstands now.

Beckett called the team's 2005-06 jersey card giveaway the 'best minor league promotion of last season.' The current issue features color photos of the 2006-07 cards featuring Penguins players Rob Schremp and Noah Welch (photos attached).

Each card in the 22-player set features a color photo of a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins player, as well as a swatch of his jersey worn during the seasons' first two home games.

The cards - sponsored by Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler - will be distributed randomly during four home games during the season. Four to five different players will be distributed each night (players to be determined), with a total of 5,000 cards being given away at each game.

The game-worn jersey night giveaway nights are:

Friday, January 5 vs. Grand Rapids Friday, February 16 vs. Binghamton

Friday, March 2 vs. Bridgeport Wednesday, April 11 vs. Bridgeport
