Brandon Sugden To Drop Ceremonial First Puck Saturday, February 23

Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse Crunch announced today that former Crunch right wing Brandon Sugden will drop the ceremonial first puck on Saturday, February 23, prior to Syracuse's game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Sugden, 29, played parts of four seasons with Syracuse from 2003-04 to 2006-07, appearing in 167 games, tallying 6 goals, 9 assists and 754 penalty minutes. He ranks second on the Crunch's all-time penalty minutes list.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Sugden was drafted by Toronto in the fifth round, 111th overall, in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. Sugden was signed by the Crunch to an AHL contract on December 12, 2003 after signing a professional try-out contract on October 15, 2003. He was signed as a free agent by Columbus on April 19, 2004.
