Canucks Re-Assign McIver To Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have re-assigned goaltender defenceman Nathan McIver to the Moose.

McIver, 23, has appeared in 11 games with the Canucks this season and collected 30 penalty minutes. In 31 games with the Moose, the Summerside, PEI native scored two goals and two assists for four points and 74 penalty minutes. He scored the game-winning goal Nov. 10/07 vs. Milwaukee and then scored the overtime winner Dec. 22/07 vs. Hamilton. McIver has played in 159 AHL games in his career - all with the Moose. He has scored four goals and 10 assists for 14 points and 368 penalty minutes. In 14 career Calder Cup playoff games with Manitoba, he has 28 penalty minutes.

McIver was originally Vancouver's eighth round draft choice, 254th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
