Rockford's Light Week Begins In Milwaukee
February 22, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rockford IceHogs News Release
Milwaukee, Wis.- There are two kinds of team streaks in hockey. The good news for the Rockford IceHogs is that they've experienced the good kind several times this season. The American Hockey League club has had stretches of 6, 5, 15 and 6 games without a regulation loss.
The bad news right now for the IceHogs is that the team is trying to snap out of the other kind of streak, a winless slump. Tonight the IceHogs head back to the Bradley Center in Milwaukee to take on the Admirals. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
Rockford hasn't won in regulation in a season-worst eight straight games (0-6-1-1). The IceHogs will try to shake out of the streak in the second of four straight games against the Admirals.
In the Hogs last game in Milwaukee last Sunday, the Ads blanked them 4-0 behind 23 saves from Pekka Rinne. The shutout was the second against Rockford this season.
Now back to the good news department for the IceHogs. Leading goal scorer Troy Brouwer and defenseman Jerramie Domish are expected to return to the lineup tonight. Brouwer has missed the IceHogs last three games after suffering an oblique injury in Quad City on Feb. 10 and Domish the previous two with an undisclosed injury.
