Schaumburg Boomers News Release
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Schaumburg Boomers extended their lead in the Frontier League's West Division to two games with 17 to play by rallying from down three runs to steal a 4-3 win over the Traverse City Beach Bums before 5,985 on Friday night.
Traverse City, who entered the game as the co-leaders of the East, broke open a scoreless game with three fifth inning runs, two of which crossed on a double from Carlo Testa. Schaumburg plucked a run off the lead in the bottom of the inning when Gerard Hall scored from second on a wild pitch. Bubba Dotson hit a solo homer in the sixth to bring the Boomers within a run.
