(READING, PA) - Sporting the #23 on the back of his Harry Potter-inspired uniform, Phillies top prospect Alec Bohm hit a tie-breaking three-run homer in a five run fifth inning on his 23rd birthday as the Fightins rolled by the Curve 7-2 on Saturday night at FirstEnergy Stadium. Before a crowd of 8,275, Reading wrapped up the series in the middle game of three despite falling behind 2-0 for the second straight night. Another strong night of pitching carried a quick game, and David Parkinson's (8-7) second straight win set the tone for two perfect innings of relief from Aaron Brown and Grant Dyer as the Fightin Phils got back to 20 games over .500 at 66-46 (27-18).

Parkinson retired the first 10 batters he faced before his perfect bid was broken up by Darnell Sweeney's one-out single in the fourth. On a 2-0 pitch, Jared Oliva hit a single to drive in his 35th run for a 1-0 Curve lead. Their final run came when shortstop Robbie Glendinning hit a leadoff home run to right in the fifth, making it 2-0 before a big bottom of the inning. Parkinson struck out six over his five innings, allowing just a pair of hits during his last two frames before another impressive night from the bullpen.

Facing Florida State League All-Star Cody Bolton, Bohm had the only hit over the first four innings courtesy of a two-out single in the first. The two-out magic continued later in the fifth when catcher Jack Conley swatted his first home run of the season in his Double-A debut. Pinch-hitter Danny Mayer worked a five-pitch walk, and leadoff batter Luke Williams singled up the middle to push the tying run to scoring position. A few pitches later, Mickey Moniak tied the score with a line shot into right, and Bohm crushed a no-doubter to left to give Reading its first least at 5-2.

Brown chewed through the Curve lineup, finishing with three strikeouts over the sixth and seventh while facing the minimum six batters. Dyer did the same with a 1-2-3 eighth, which ended with a strikeout of second baseman Mitchell Tolman. In the eighth, the R-Phils tacked on two insurance runs by capitalizing on three walks and a wild pitch from hard-throwing righthander Angel German. Arquimedes Gamboa drew a two-out walk with the bases loaded, and Darick Hall scored on a wild pitch after Bohm put the cherry on top with a one-out single for his first three-hit game at Double-A.
