
Bogas Headed to Philadelphia; Dietrich to Manchester

(Reading, PA) â The Reading Royals have announced that centerman Brandon Dietrich has been recalled to the Manchester Monarchs while defenseman Chris Bogas has been loaned to the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League. Both Dietrich and Bogas have spent time in the American Hockey League earlier this season.
Dietrich, who is on a two-way contract with Manchester, receives his second promotion this season. The Waterloo Ontario native was called up to Manchester on January 14 and appeared in five games with the Monarchs picking up one assist and six penalty minutes. In Reading, Dietrich ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 16 goals and 45 points. Currently, he ranks fourth in power play goals (7) and second in shorthanded tallies (2).
Chris Bogas receives his third promotion to the AHL this season. Bogas has played for the Hershey Bears and Manchester Monarchs before signing with the Phantoms. He appeared in 12 games with Manchester, tallying a goal and three points, including a game winner. The four-year pro signed a 25-game contract with the Phantoms, which will in effect end his 2002-03 season in Reading. The Cleveland Heights Ohio native had four goals and nine points along with 44 penalty minutes in 27 games while in Reading.
The Royals take to the road this weekend, battling Richmond Saturday night February 8. The game can be heard on the Royals flagship station, ESPN Radio 1240AM. John Curtis will handle all the play-by-play duties. The Buy-Rite-Liquidator pre-game show comes your way at 7:05 p.m. with the drop of the puck at 7:35 p.m.
Reading returns home on Valentines Day February 14 to battle the Johnstown Chiefs. The coveted Keystone Cup is at stake in this game. Sheetz is the presenting sponsor of the game. The first 1,000 fans receive a notepad with pen and coupon courtesy of Sheetz. Jumpin' Jack will also be performing during the game. Sunday February 16, the Royals will battle the Trenton Titans and Performance Toyota is the proud presenting sponsor of the game. The first 2,000 fans through the gate receive the 3rd series of Royals team trading cards courtesy of Rieck's Printing.
