
Blue Jays Purchase the Contract of Bisons INF Chris Getz

The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that they have selected the contract of INF CHRIS GETZ from the Bisons. Toronto also announced that they have released Bisons RHP MICKEY STOREY.
Getz has played 18 games with the Herd this season as leads the club with a .309 (21-68) average. He is also tied for the club lead with six stolen bases to go along with two doubles, nine RBI and eight runs scored. Getz leaves the Bisons on a six-game hit streak (10-22, .455) as well as hits in 11 of his last 12 contests (16-43, .372).
Storey made four appearances for the Bisons this year, with a 10.80 ERA (3.1 IP, 7 H, 5 BB, 2 SO).
