Tonight's Game: The Gwinnett Braves conclude an eight-game road trip (1-3 at COL, 2-1 at TOL) with the finale of a four-game series at Toledo tonight. Gwinnett remains 2.0 games behind first-place Durham (17-9) in the IL South Division and leads the IL Wild Card standings by 1.0 game over Buffalo (12-10). A G-Braves' victory tonight would be the club's 17th in 23 games all-time at Toledo...it would also secure the club's fifth series win of the year. Atlanta Braves' RHP Gavin Floyd is slated to make his sixth injury rehab start of 2014, his fifth start with the G-Braves tonight (more on Page 3).

G-Braves Blanked in Toledo: Gwinnett saw a two-game winning streak snapped with an 8-0 loss to the Toledo Mud Hens last night at Fifth Third Field...it's the first time the G-Braves have been shut out this season. LHP Robby Ray (W, 3-2) scattered seven hits over 5.0 IP, and Toledo relievers Casey Crosby and Melvin Mercedes (S, 3) combined on 4.0 two-hit frames to finish the game. Toledo scored the decisive runs in the first inning...Ezequiel Carrera led off with a bunt single and advanced to third on throwing errors by RF Derrick Mitchell and C Christian Bethancourt...he then scored on a single by Hernan Perez...Mike Hessman added a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0. The lead grew to 4-0 in the fourth inning on back-to-back sacrifice flies from Daniel Fields and Brandon Douglas. RHP Mitch Atkins (L, 1-3) took the loss with four runs over 6.2 IP...RHP Luis Vasquez surrendered four more runs in the eighth, raising the deficit to 8-0. 1B Joey Terdoslavich went 2-for-4 in the loss.

Trading Shutouts: After posting a 3-0 victory at Toledo on Sunday, the G-Braves saw the shutout favor returned in an 8-0 loss to the Mud Hens last night...Gwinnett is now 3-1 in shutout decisions this season (.750, T-3rd in IL). Last night's loss was the club's first in shutout fashion since their 2013 season finale on 9/2/13 at Charlotte, a 4-0 loss (current G-Braves RHP Zach Stewart threw 8.0 scoreless, 10-hit IP for the Knights). Gwinnett's three shutout wins in 2014 have all been combined five-hitters: a 15-0 win on 4/15 vs. Norfolk (Cody Martin, Atahualpa Severino, Luis Vasquez), a 1-0 win on 4/17 at Charlotte (Yunesky Maya, Mitch Atkins, Severino, Wirfin Obispo and Juan Jaime) and a 3-0 win on 4/27 at Toledo (Daniel Rodriguez, Ryan Buchter, Jaime).

Terdoslavich Named IL Batter of the Week: OF/1B Joey Terdoslavich was named the IL Batter of the Week for the period of 4/21-27 by the IL office...he hit .500 (13-for-26) with three doubles, a HR, nine runs, four RBI and a stolen base in that span...it's his first career IL weekly award and the second won by a G-Brave this season (Ernesto Mejia, 4/7). Terdoslavich (2-for-4) extended his hitting streak to nine games last night...he's batting .457 (16-for-35, 3 2B, HR, 9 R, 4 RBI) in that span...he's also riding a five-game multi-hit streak, tied for the longest on the club this season.

La Stella Streaks to 18: 2B Tommy La Stella (1-for-4) extended his team-best on-base streak to 18 games last night (3rd in IL)...he has reached base safely in every game since 4/10, batting .314 (22-for-70, 2B, 9 R, 12 RBI) in that span. La Stella's active on-base streak includes an eight-game hitting streak from 4/19 to 4/26 in which he hit .441 (15-for-34, 2B, 5 R, 6 RBI, 1 SB).

Mejia to Japan: The Atlanta Braves announced the release of Gwinnett 1B Ernesto Mejia from the 40-man roster on 4/26. The Braves and Seibu Lions of the Japanese Pacific League have reached an agreement for his services and he will report to Japan this week. ï‚¡ Mejia played in 287 games for Gwinnett over the past three seasons, batting .279 with 59 HR, 199 RBI. ï‚¡ Won several awards as a G-Brave, including IL Rookie of the Year (2012), IL midseason All-Star (2012, 2013) and IL postseason All-Star (2012). ï‚¡ As of his final game with Gwinnett on 4/24, ranked among Minor League leaders in RBI (2nd, 24), HR (T- 6th, 7) and total bases (7th, 54) this season. ï‚¡ As of 4/24, ranked among IL Top 5 in RBI (1st ), HR (2nd ), hits (2nd, 28), SLG (2nd, .684), HR/AB ratio (2nd, 1 HR/11.29 AB), XBH (T-2nd, 12), OPS (3rd, 1.104), TB (3rd ) and batting average (4th, .354).
