Blue Jackets Assign Two Players to Monsters, Waive Four More for Purpose of Assignment to Cleveland

CLEVELAND - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters, top affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Monday that the Blue Jackets assigned defenseman Doyle Somerby and goaltender Veini Vehvilainen to the Monsters. Columbus additionally placed defenseman Adam Clendening and forwards Zac Dalpe, Markus Hannikainen and Ryan MacInnis on waivers for the purpose of assigning them to Cleveland.
