Block Party, Father's Day Celebration Set for Cats Homestand

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Looking to capture their 11th PCL Southern Division championship in 13 seasons, the Sacramento River Cats open an eight-game homestand on Thursday, June 14, during which fans will enjoy exciting promotions including Salute to the Red, White & Blue presented by U.S. Army, Sleepover Night with a pillowcase giveaway, the Fin Fest Block Party: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett, Sutter Health Fireworks, Scout Night, a Father's Day Celebration, Singles' Night and a Johnny Doskow Bobblenose giveaway. The River Cats will play host to the Tacoma Rainiers (Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners) June 14-17 and the Fresno Grizzlies (Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants) June 19-22.
Salute to Red, White & Blue presented by U.S. Army - Thursday, June 14
Celebrate Flag Day while enjoying our national pastime. Players will be showcasing their patriotism with special flag jerseys. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will also receive an American flag.
Sleepover Night - Friday, June 15
Eat, sleep, baseball... Wear your PJs to the ballgame and snuggle with the River Cats at a camp-out on the field. A special sleepover ticket package includes a Delta ticket, hot dog meal voucher, camping on the field and pancake breakfast the next morning. The first 2,500 fans in the park will also receive a River Cats pillow case!
Fin Fest Block party: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett- Saturday, June 16 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Parrotheads and River Cats fans won't want to miss a fun-filled evening as the Cats pay tribute to Jimmy Buffett with the Second Annual Raley Field Fin Fest! The players will wear special Hawaiian-style jerseys that will be auctioned off, with net proceeds going to the River Cats Foundation, whose mission is to improve the lives of families and youth of the greater Sacramento region. Come to the game early and take part in a free pregame block party along Ballpark Drive from 4 - 6:30 p.m. Garratt Wilkin and the Parrotheads will liven up the afternoon with music while fans don Hawaiian shirts and enjoy cheeseburgers, margaritas and beer. Entry to the block party is free for everyone, regardless of whether you have a ticket to the River Cats game.
Father's Day Celebration - Sunday, June 17
The River Cats Baseball and BBQ ticket package includes at Senate ticket, pregame BBQ that includes tri tip, hamburgers, Raley Field hot dogs, three sides and one drink ticket, the chance to have a Father's Day greeting printed along the baseline warning track, and the chance to throw out a first pitch! Adult tickets cost $38, children 10 and under cost $34. The first 2,500 fans in the ballpark that day will also receive a free BBQ tool set. Dads and kids can also play catch out on the field following the game.
Singles' Night - Thursday, June 21
Mix and mingle at our Stoplight Party as Dinger plays matchmaker for the evening! Here are the rules: Dress to impress in green if you're single, red if you're taken and yellow if it's complicated.
Johnny Doskow Bobblenose Giveaway - Friday, June 22
Celebrate Johnny's 12th season calling River Cats games with this honker of a giveaway as the first 2,500 fans in the ballpark will receive a Johnny Doskow Bobblenose doll!
The homestand will also include the following recurring promotions: Monday Seniors Eat Free and Baseball Bingo presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort, Kids Eat Free Tuesdays presented by California Family Fitness, Nine Innings @ Noon Business Person's Special presented by yp.com, Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday with $2 Miller and Miller Lite beers throughout the ballpark and music in the left field Beer Garden, Toyota Family Value Fridays with $1 hot dogs and $1 desserts and U.S. Bank Sunday Funday with pregame autographs and the opportunity for kids to run the bases postgame.
