Metairie, La. - Four New Orleans Zephyrs (34-32) pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout as the Oklahoma City RedHawks (39-27) were blanked 3-0 before 3,015 at Zephyr Field Wednesday afternoon.

Starting pitcher Alex Sanabia (5-4) turned in another gem against the RedHawks, tossing 6.2 innings of two-hit ball. Although he walked a season-high four, Sanabia allowed just one runner in scoring position. In two starts against the RedHawks, Sanabia has yielded just one run and seven hits over 13.2 innings.

Mike Dunn, Rob Delaney, and Chris Hatcher combined to go the final 2.1 innings to seal the Zephyrs' sixth shutout of the season. Hatcher retired the side in order in the ninth to earn his second save.

It was the third time this season the RedHawks were shutout, and the two hits were a new season low.

The game was scoreless until the fifth. On the first pitch of the inning, Sanabia sent a fly ball to center field. Brad Snyder appeared to make the catch, but as he was pulling the ball down and transferring it to this throwing hand, the ball fell out. The umpiring crew deemed Snyder never made the catch, and Sanabia reached first base.

With two outs later in the inning, Bryan Petersen ripped an RBI double to put the Zephyrs in front.

It was the only run RedHawks pitcher Wes Musick allowed over five innings in a tough-luck loss. Musick (1-2) gave up three hits and four walks with three strikeouts.

Still trailing 1-0 in the seventh, Snyder singled and stole second base with one out. Dunn then relieved Sanabia and struck out Jake Goebbert and Carlos Corporan to end the inning.

The Zephyrs put the game away with two runs in the bottom of the frame, courtesy of two-out RBI singles by Mike Cervenak and Nick Green.

The RedHawks dropped two of three in New Orleans, as well as four of the seven straight between the two squads. The RedHawks continue their current 11-game road trip Thursday night in Round Rock at 7:05 p.m. Live coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on AM 1340 The Game, 1340thegame.com, or through the IHeartRadio app.
