TACOMA, Wash. -- The Rainiers recorded 18 hits and homered a season-high six times in a 14-10 win over Salt Lake at Spring Mobile Ballpark on Wednesday, sealing a series win for Tacoma over the Bees.

Seven different Rainiers turned in multi-hit efforts, and outfielder Mike Wilson led the way after going 4-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI. Infielder Luis Rodriguez also homered twice en route to collecting three hits and driving in four runs. Luis Jimenez, Carlos Peguero, Vinnie Catricala and Carlos Triunfel all turned in two-hit performances.

Tacoma homered four times on the way to garnering a quick 6-1 lead through the second inning. Rodriguez hit the first of his two homers with a solo blast in the first. In the second, Catricala and Wilson hit back-to-back one-run home runs, and the designated hitter Jimenez hit a two-out, three-run shot.

Salt Lake rallied with five runs in the fourth to cut a 7-1 Rainiers lead down to one run, but Tacoma answered with five more runs in the top of the fifth. Wilson hit a two-run home run and Rodriguez hit a three-run homer that gave the Rainiers an insurmountable 12-6 advantage.
