Today's Game
Today, the Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in a day-night doubleheader at Coca-Cola Park. The teams will play two, nine-inning contests; one at 12:05 p.m. and the second at 6:35 p.m. The Herd and IronPigs will play again tomorrow afternoon before Buffalo returns home for a four-game series against Louisville starting Monday.
Last Game (LHV 5, BUF 4)
IronPigs RF Cedric Hunter doubled in the game-winning run with one out in the 11th inning for Lehigh Valley's 5-4 win over the Herd. The three-run lead lost (4-1) was the Bisons' worst of the season. C Tony Sanchez and INF Jio Mier both homered in the defeat.
vs. Lehigh Valley (1-2)
All three games between these two teams have been decided by one run. Today's doubleheader is because of a rainout on May 1 in Lehigh Valley. The IronPigs don't come to Buffalo until July 8-10.
Drew Hutchison
RHP Drew Hutchison gets the game one start. After not winning in his first 14 career Triple-a starts, the veteran is 3-1 with a 3.75 ERA in his last four starts. Hutchison has struck out 23 in his last three efforts (18.1IP) and ranks 4th in the IL with a .209 average against. He allowed just one run over six innings on April 29 in Lehigh Valley.
Scott Diamond
LHP Scott Diamond is back in the rotation following a one-game stint in Toronto. The southpaw allowed three runs in an inning of relief for the Blue Jays on Monday. Diamond's last appearances for the Herd was June 7 when he allowed three earned runs over 6.1 innings of work in Rochester. Diamond is 2nd on the team with 8 quality starts.
David Adams
INF David Adams brings an nine-game hit streak into tonight's game. The veteran has averaged .407 (11-27) with five doubles, three RBI and eight runs scored. Since the start of May, Adams has averaged .368 (21-57) with eight doubles and a .471 on-base pct. in 22 games.
Ryan Tepera
RHP Ryan Tepera has converted his last eight save changes, four of which have been six-out saves. In his last 10 outings since May 15, the righty has posted a 0.60 ERA with 16 strikeouts to only five hits allowed in 15.0 IP. Opponents are hitting just .204 off Tepera this year.

LHP Wade LeBlanc leads the IL in ERA (1.51) and innings (83.2), is tied for the league-lead in wins (7) and is 3rd in strikeouts (81)...INF Casey Kotchman leads the IL with 17.08 plate appearances per strikeout....RHP Ben Rowen's 1.14 walks/9.0 IP is the 4th-best mark among International League relievers...Bisons relievers lead the IL with 23 team saves.
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (38-31) steamroller continued Friday with a 13-3 win in Baltimore. Toronto has now scored 65 runs in their last seven games, and that includes a shutout loss last Monday. LF Michael Saunders had three of Toronto's five home runs last night, driving in eight runs himself. The Blue Jays look for their fifth straight win today against the Orioles (4:05 p.m.).
