Today's Game

This morning, the Bisons take on the Columbus Clippers in the rubber-match of a three-game series from Coca-Cola Field (10:35 a.m.). The Clippers won Monday, 5-4, with the Herd rebounding for a 5-1 win on Tuesday. Buffalo is now 11-12 at home this season. The Bisons will host Syracuse for the first two games of a four-game home-and-home series starting Thursday.

Last Game (BUF 5, COL 0)

RHP Drew Hutchison pitched his best game in his Bisons' career, retiring the first 17 batters in a 5-1 win over the Clippers. Hutchison's perfect game was broken up by a Bryson Miles single with two outs in the sixth. Overall, he struck out nine batters in 7.1 innings and benefited from a three-hit, two-RBI day from C A.J. Jimenez.

vs. Columbus (4-1)

Today is the final regular season matchup between the Bisons and Clippers this season. The Bisons (4-1) have won the season series for the fifth consecutive season. Since 2012, the Herd is 23-13 against Columbus, including a 12-6 record at Coca-Cola Field.

Scott Diamond

LHP Scott Diamond makes his team-high 11th start of the season today. The southpaw has lost two straight, allowing five runs in five innings last Friday in Toledo. Diamond has posted a 2.67 ERA in his four home starts this season with just three walks allowed in 27.0 innings.

A.J. Jimenez

C A.J. Jimenez was a perfect 3-for-3 last night, with two of his three singles to left field driving in runs. The catcher is now 17 for his last 43 at the plate, good for a .395 average since May 13. Jimenez has six doubles, a home run and 11 RBI during the 12-game stretch.

Casey Kotchman

1B Casey Kotchman has reached base safely in 14 of his last 15 games. Since May 10, the veteran has averaged .302 (16-53) with seven walks. Kotchman leads the Bisons with 18 walks on the season and is 15th in the IL with a .363 on-base pct.

Bisons Bits

RHP Ben Rowen has made eight consecutive scoreless appearances for the Bisons, a 10-inning stretch that began on May 8...Bisons pitchers are 12-8 with a 2.38 ERA when C Tony Sanchez is behind the plate.

School Kids Day

Today is the Bisons annual School Kids Day game. The team has hosted 35 morning starts at Coca-Cola Field since 1988 with a total attendance of 514,193. Buffalo is 2-0 in morning starts already this year, with wins in Durham (3-0) on May 12 and Columbus (13-10) last Thursday.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays' (28-26) defeated the Yankees last night, 4-1, and have now won six of their last seven games. LHP J.A. Happ allowed just one run on four hits in six innings of work in a no-decision. Before the game, Toronto acquired RHP Jason Grilli in a trade with the Atlanta Braves. The Blue Jays go for the three-game sweep of the Yankees tonight at 7:07 p.m.
