Today's Game
Tonight, the Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs in the third game of a four-game series at NBT Bank Stadium (7:05 p.m.). The Herd has won six of seven and nine of its last 11 games dating back to July 18. The Bisons and Chiefs have split the first two games of this series.

The Bisons are 8-3 against the Chiefs this year. Buffalo has outscored the Chiefs 54-33 in the 11 games. The teams are slatted to play 21 times season, the most for the Bisons against any other opponent. The Herd (12-8) is a half-game up on Rochester in the Thruway Cup standings.
Scott Copeland
RHP SCOTT COPELAND will make his 13th start of the season tonight. The righty defeated the Chiefs last Thursday in Buffalo, allowing just an unearned run in 6.2 innings of work. It was Copeland's fifth straight start of six innings or more. He is now just 5.1 innings shy of having his 2.17 ERA qualify as the best mark in the International League.
Bullpen Notes
The Bisons bullpen has been stellar this month, posting a 2.21 ERA in July with just as many strikeouts (66) as hits allowed (66) in 81.1 innings of work. RHP CHAD JENKINS hasn't yielded a run in 11 July outings (15.0 IP) while RHP GREG BURKE (1.04 ERA, 8.2 IP) and LHP ROB RASMUSSEN (1.13 ERA 8.0 IP) have given up just one run in July.
Jon Berti
INF JON BERTI has reached base in eight of his first nine Triple-A games. The infielder tripled and homered last night, scoring three times and driving in three runs. Berti hit .263 with 14 extra-base hits and 19 stolen bases in 63 games with New Hampshire (AA) this year.
Andy Burns
INF ANDY BURNS has produced five consecutive multi-hit performances. Since July 24, Burns has averaged .476 (10-21) with four doubles, five RBI and four runs scored. Burns ranks 2nd on the club with 96 hits, 20 doubles and 125 total bases.
Bisons Bits
The Bisons .870 (40-6) record when scoring first is 104 points better than the next closest IL club, Norfolk...The Blue Jays today announced that former Bisons LHP FELIX DOUBRONT has been designated for assignment. He was 1-3 with a 2.44 ERA in 9 starts for the Herd.
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (50-51) lost to the Phillies last night, 3-2. Devon Travis led off the game with his eighth home run, but was also pulled from the contest early. The Blue Jays today introduced their new shortstop, Troy Tulowitzki, who was acquired Tuesday. Toronto hosts Philly again tonight at 7:07 p.m.
