Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs continue their four-game home-and-home set with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Wednesday night. First pitch from Coca-Cola Park is set for 7:05 p.m.
RHP Sean O'Sullivan (0-0, 3.46) gets the ball for the Pigs on Wednesday. O'Sullivan got a no-decision on Thursday vs. Toledo when he gave up three runs on seven hits while fanning six over seven innings of work. Thus far in 2 GS with Lehigh Valley, left-handed hitters are just 6-33 (.182) against the San Diego Native. O'Sullivan was 1-6 with a 6.08 ERA in 13 starts with the Phillies this season.
RHP Luis Severino (6-0, 2.11) takes the hill for manager Dave Miley's squad. Severino earned the win on Friday vs. Toledo after allowing three runs on six hits to go along with two walks and four strikeouts in 5.0 IP. The right-hander was ranked as the No.1 prospect in the NYY system by Baseball America prior to the season. Severino will be making his second start of the year against Lehigh Valley after not allowing an earned run over 7.2 IP vs. the Pigs at Coca-Cola Park on June 21.
The first 3,000 fans 18 and older in attendance on Wednesday will receive IronPigs Sunglasses presented by Coordinated Health. It is also Ladies Night presented by Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays.
