
Liz Leads Tribe to 3-1 Win over Columbus

Columbus, Ohio -- Radhames Liz pitched six shutout innings and Keon Broxton collected three hits to lead the Indianapolis Indians (59-46) to a 3-1 win over the Columbus Clippers (59-46). The victory tied the Tribe with the Clippers for first place in the International League West division standings.
Liz (3-3) struck out six batters and allowed just three hits. He retired the first 11 batters he faced and finished with only two walks in the victory. A.J. Morris and John Holdzkom then bridged the game to the ninth inning, before Blake Wood worked the final frame for his 22nd save of the season.
Broxton tripled as part of his three-hit night and has now reached base safely in a team season-high 22 consecutive games.
