TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons face the Durham Bulls in the finale of a four-game series from Durham Bulls Athletic Park (12:05 p.m.). The Herd has lost five straight and are only 1-6 in their eight-game roadtrip that ends today. The Bisons will return home for an eight-game set against Louisville and Durham tomorrow.

vs. BULLS: The Bisons are 0-3 against Durham this season. Buffalo needs a win today to avoid the four-game sweep. The Herd was swept in Durham, June 8-11, 2010 and now has just two wins in their last 15 games at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Herd will welcome the Bulls to Buffalo next week.

COHOON: LHP MARK COHOON will make his 2012 Bisons debut today. The southpaw was promoted yesterday after going 3-7 with a 4.11ERA in 12 starts with Double-A Binghamton. Cohoon made 18 starts with the Herd last year and was 4th on the club with 94.1 innings of work. He was 4-11 with a 6.11ERA and 51 strikeouts with the Bisons a season ago.

LEWIS: OF FRED LEWIS became the 5th different Bison to have a multi-homer game this season. Lewis hit a pair of solo shots as part of a 3-3 night at the plate on Sunday. The outfielder has hit in 17 of 22 games this month with a .305 average and a .394 on-base percentage in June. Lewis leads the Bisons with a .296 batting average (11th best in the International League).

SILKY: INF JOSH SATIN has reached base 12 times in his last four games. Since Thursday, Satin has hit .583 (7-12) with four walks and a .688 on-base percentage. With a pair of hits last night, Satin now has a team-high 18 multi-hit performances in 2012.

BISONS BITS: Late last night, the Mets selected the contract of LHP JUSTIN HAMPSON from the Bisons. In 28 games this season, the southpaw was 4-2 with a 2.13ERA and two saves...Yesterday, INF MICHAEL FISHER was placed on the disabled list (retroactive to June 21) with a right shin contusion. The Bisons now have seven players on the disabled list...INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI is 3rd in the International League with 55 walks. Last night was the 16th game he's drawn two walks in this season.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (39-34) lost the rubber match of the Subway Series last night, 6-5, to the Yankees. New York rallied from 5-1 down to tie it but INF Robinson Cano homered in the eighth inning for the win. New York begins a seven-game roadtrip tonight with the first of a three game set against the Cubs in Chicago (8:05 p.m.).
