RA CHA CHA: The Rochester Red Wings tonight conclude their 8-game homestand with the finale of a 4-game series against International League South Division leader Charlotte (White Sox). The Red Wings lost 3 of 4 games vs. Durham (Rays) to open the homestand and are 2-1 thus far in this series. After tonight's game with Charlotte, the Wings will hit the road for a brief 4-game set at Lehigh Valley (Phillies) tomorrow-Friday. Then it's back home for a 2-game series against the Empire State Yankees Saturday and Sunday.

a The Wings tonight wrap up their 8-game season series against Charlotte, the 3rd completed season series along with Louisville (Reds) and Gwinnett (Braves). Rochester went 6-2 against Louisville and 4-4 against Gwinnett. Regardless of tonight's outcome, with a 4-3 record against Charlotte already, the Wings will be unbeaten in their 3 completed season series.

a The Wings have already won one season series in 2012 after posting only one in 2011, when they went 5-3 against Louisville. Rochester was unbeaten in only 3 season series in 2011, going 4-4 against both Gwinnett and Toledo (Tigers) in addition to the series win vs. Louisville. The next season series that will conclude is against Norfolk (Orioles) after a 4-game set in Virginia July 16-19. The Wings went 3-1 against Norfolk at Frontier Field June 5-8.

ROSTER NEWS: The Minnesota Twins today recalled left-handed reliever Tyler Robertson. The 24-year-old is the 10th Red Wing to get a promotion to the Twins, the 3rd to make his major league debut. Shortstop Brian Dozier and righthander Cole De Vries are the other 2. Robertson went 2-2 with 2 saves and a 3.77 ERA in a league-leading 33 appearances.

STAYING AFLOAT: The Red Wings are 26-25 beginning May 3, playing better than .500 baseball for more than a 3rd of the season. More recently, Rochester is 21-18 beginning May 15. Also, since sitting a season-worst 10 games below .500 at 20-30 following a 4-1 loss at Charlotte May 28, the Red Wings are 15-11 in their last 26 games.

a The Red Wings yesterday lost 6-0 vs. Charlotte for their 8th shutout defeat. Rochester was shut out at Frontier Field for the 3rd time, joining a 2-0 setback against Empire State and a 1-0 loss vs. Columbus (Indians). Only Durham and Indianapolis (Pirates) in the IL have more shut-out losses with 9.

a Rochester has won more than 2 games in a row only once during its 21-18 run beginning May 15, a season-high 4-game winning streak June 6-9. (The Wings also had a 4-game winning streak May 3-5.)

JUNE BOOM: The Red Wings are 13-10 in June and need just one win in its final 6 games in June to post their most victories in a calendar month since going 17-15 in August 2009. The Wings need only 2 wins in their last 6 contests of June to register their first winning record in a month since August 2009 as well.

LONG (NON)DIVISION: The Red Wings tonight conclude a stretch of playing 40 consecutive games against teams outside of the IL North Division. The Wings are 21-18 thus far during the stretch, which began May 15. Rochester went 14-23 in its first 27 games, all of which were against North Division rivals. The Wings were the last team in the IL to play outside its division.

a The Red Wings' final 14 games before the All-Star Break beginning tomorrow are against IL North clubs Empire State, Lehigh Valley, and Pawtucket. All 3 have winning records.

FRONTIER AND CENTER: The Red Wings are 25-20 at Frontier Field, including a 21-16 mark as the home team. Regardless of tonight's outcome, the Red Wings will be unbeaten in 10 of their 13 series at Frontier. They are 5-3-4 in Frontier series thus far.

GET ANGRY!: The Red Wings are 3-4 in games following a shut-out loss. Rochester did, however, erupt for 8 runs June 14 at Louisville to avoid 3 straight shut-out losses.

a Rochester's 9-game losing streak at Buffalo is its longest current skid against an opponent on the road. The Wings last won in Buffalo in the 2nd game of an April 19, 2011 doubleheader, a 2-0 triumph in 7 innings. The Red Wings return to Coca-Cola Field August 25-28.
